Stanley Electric U.S. is seeking an experience Coatings Engineer with knowledge of vacuum metallizing and robotic spray painting. Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, 2+ years OJT in engineering or related field and is fluent in English.

 WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

To coordinate new model development by determining specifications needed for production in order to meet customer requirements for new models.  To implement process improvement projects to increase profitability of production.

• Involved in process improvement efforts by troubleshooting and developing countermeasures to improve production.
• Participate in new model development regarding drawing review, start-up, design of tooling, process development, robot programming and process confirmation in order to create a competitive advantage.
• Participate in capital investment planning regarding testing, new equipment purchase, and installation.
• Support a production customer in a JIT manufacturing environment.
• Assist in cost-reduction by monitoring raw material usage and reject reduction rate in order to help the company be more cost-effective.
• Provide technical support to production, process, and maintenance groups to reduce downtime and increase productivity.
• Support manufacturing by addressing problem solving issues and theorizing improvement ideas to achieve maximum production efficiency.

 HOW YOU WILL QUALIFY:

• Bachelor degree in Engineering
• 2+ years engineering experience, automotive background preferred
• Fluent in English
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical
• Familiarity with robots and PLCs a plus
• Demonstrated ability to control multiple projects, budgets and deadlines.
• Demonstrated knowledge of AutoCAD, Inventor, and/or CATIA
• Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrated analytical ability
• Proven multi-tasking skills

These qualifications are preferred but not necessary for you to get started:

• Knowledge of PLC programming for troubleshooting purposes
• Demonstrated knowledge of vacuum metalizing and robotic spray painting

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• General Office Environment (3) hours per day
• Manufacturing Environment (5) hour per day
• Occasional overnight travel may be required to perform essential functions at remote locations or receive training.
• Required to work overtime (unplanned and unscheduled) to meet customer deadlines and requirements.

 HAZARDS:

• Chemicals, moving equipment, heat, electrical
• Moderate noise levels; within specific areas required to wear hearing protection.
