The role
As a Pail-Fill Operator in the Small Paint Plant (SPP), you lead batch-filling operations using the Automated Pail Filling Room, scales/load cells, mixers, and related systems. You’ll also lend support to additional Operations areas as needed to meet demand.
Essential duties
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures, batch tickets, process sheets, and all safety policies.
- Operate automated pail-filling equipment, scales/load cells, mixers, filling pumps, and filling machines for accurate batch completion.
- Fill finished products into the correct containers per customer-specific IDIOS and generate precise container labels.
- Safely drive a forklift to move raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods.
- Participate in and contribute to cross-functional improvement teams.
- Detect off-quality conditions during processing and take corrective action per abnormal process procedures.
- Leverage SAP, Microsoft Access Database, and Microsoft Office to complete orders within the LPP process.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards in all production areas.
- Perform basic care and upkeep of assigned equipment to ensure reliable operation.
- Support job activities in other Operations areas outside of LPP as required.
- Transfer waste from generation points to the 90-day Storage Area.
- Properly close and label waste containers in compliance with NPAA procedures.
Pay
$17.39 to $25.75. Compensation for this role is negotiable based on experience and skill set.
