COBOL Developer (Hybrid)

We're hiring a COBOL Developer to join our team in Columbia, SC. This role offers a hybrid schedule, with onsite work required Tuesday through Thursday.

Work Authorization: U.S. citizens and Green Card holders only. Sponsorship is not available for this role; no C2C or third-party candidates. Candidates must be able to work on our W2.

Skills & Qualifications:

• 4 years of application development, systems testing or other job-related experience
• Proficiency in COBOL (batch and online application development)
• Experience with JCL (Job Control Language) for batch processing, job scheduling, and restart/recovery
• Strong skills in DB2 (SQL development, database access, and performance tuning)
• Knowledge of CICS (online transaction processing and support)

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze business requirements and design solutions to meet those needs
• Create and modify COBOL programs, JCL processes, DB2 queries, and CICS transactions
• Implement new functionality and resolve production issues
• Support ongoing business initiatives
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule after completion of the onboarding period
• Occasional overtime, evening, or weekend work to support production issues, implementations, or business needs

Education/Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related degree; OR
• 4 years of job-related work experience or 2 years of job-related experience plus an Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related degree

The hourly rate for this position is $50.36.
