We are seeking a highly experienced COBOL Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale mainframe applications. This role requires deep expertise in legacy systems, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, develop, and maintain high-performance applications using COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and IDMS
- Design and support OLTP systems using CICS and related technologies
- Develop and maintain batch processing jobs using JCL and enterprise schedulers
- Optimize DB2 SQL queries for performance, scalability, and reliability
- Build and maintain robust data storage solutions using VSAM and other mainframe technologies
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in mainframe development
- At least 1 year of experience equivalent to GS-14 level (or higher)
