Cocktail Server - The Blueprint Supply Co. Underground Cocktail Club General Overview The Cocktail Server is a Brand Ambassador for The Blueprint Supply Co. Underground Cocktail Club (referred to hereinafter as Server) This position follows all specific service requirements and guidelines while focusing on the development of a personal clientele list and elevated service experiences. The Server may also perform in a marketing capacity when promoting the Company & Nightclub within its four walls and is responsible for beverage & bottle service of all tables and/or seating areas in nightclub; not only their designated section as this position encourages assisting peers in their tables and guests as well. Servers must work in an efficient and professional manner while maintaining a positive attitude and delivering superior guest service at all times. Essential Functions, Tasks, Duties, & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: GUEST SERVICE & COMMUNICATIONS Greet all Guests promptly with a smile and with a friendly and upbeat attitude Verbally engage & network with guests while on floor throughout shift Providing guests with accurate information regarding our venue, menus, and policies Respond to Guest inquiries and requests in a courteous and polite manner Anticipate Guest needs & service requirements/requests Recognize and cultivate regular Guests and repeat business Promptly inform management of any complaint, comments or incident Adhere to all standard operating procedures and policies Maintain all Steps of Service and elevated entertainment experience standards Appear in approved uniform for all shifts PROMPT, CORRECT, & COMPLETE SERVICE OF BEVERAGE AND PRODUCT Organize and prioritize service per appropriate steps of service sequences. Take bottle and beverage orders from guests and properly communicate orders to the service bar through POS terminal Check all orders prior to serving to ensure accuracy, proper presentation and verify that all special requests have been met to highest standards Garnish any and all beverages as needed according to standard recipes and venue specifications. Prompt delivery and proper presentation of all orders to appropriate sections and tables CASH HANDLING & PAYMENTS Prepare guest checks through POS terminal functions Verify by checking guest’s identification when using debit or credit card Process Guest payment by cash, debit/credit card using proper protocols Collect required signatures from guest Ensure accurate accounting of all monies; cash, debit/credit cards, drink tickets, comps. Sign all cash out envelopes legibly Ensure complete and proper check out procedures RESPONSIBLE ALCOHOL SERVICE Recognize the intoxication warning signs and report to management immediately. Comply with all safety and health department procedures as well as Company and/or departmental policies/procedures. Comply with all state and federal liquor laws Must possess current Tennessee Alcohol certificate. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE OF WORK AREA Maintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through your work area throughout shift Keep all tabletops, floors and service areas clean/free of dirty glasses and any unnecessary items throughout shift Keep service station and service equipment storage clean and organized Ensure nightly and opening/closing duties are completed Ensure that all tables and couches in section are in good condition, clean, and set correctly Place all trash in proper receptacles Clean all spills and waste immediately when possible and notify support staff of spills and waste Report any equipment malfunction and/or safety hazards to Management immediately Maintain all standards of The Blueprint Supply Co. Underground Cocktail Club as well as local Safety and Sanitation Standards ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES During pre-shift meetings, in venue, may access social media accounts and send events/promotions to contacts. Must properly represent the brand and its image and likeness when wearing uniform or venue branded apparel, or when participating in company sponsored outings and/or events. During pre-shift meetings, in venue, must produce a 5–20-person guest list During pre-shift meetings, in venue, must book a minimum of 3 tables per month. During pre-shift meetings, in venue, must provide contact information for booked guest list and tables. During pre-shift meetings, in venue, must collect contact information for walk in table guests and submit to hosts or management. (Disclaimer, all work must be done on the clock and in the venue. All rates of pay for marketing and promotion are at or above full min wage apply per FLSA) EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or equivalent preferred 1+ years in high volume restaurant and/ or nightclub preferred 21+ years of age Possession of a valid Tennessee alcohol certification Maintain a welcoming, professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance WORKING KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS, & ATTRIBUTES Positive attitude and desire to work amongst a team Basic knowledge of beer, wine, and liquor brands Safe and responsible alcohol service and selling Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume environment Awareness of local and national nightclub scene Basic knowledge of new entertainment, beverage, music, and style trends – may have impact of guest preferences and expectations Strong communication & organizational skills Maintain a positive work environment with high energy Respectful, honest, and trustworthy Ability to work private events; sometimes on days or hours the venue is not typically open for business EEO Statement The Blueprint Supply Co.
