Job Summary
Altura Concepts is seeking energetic, polished, and guest-focused Cocktail Servers to deliver exceptional hospitality across our family of full-service restaurants, lounges, and fast-casual concepts. Cocktail Servers are responsible for creating memorable guest experiences by providing attentive, personalized service while delivering food and beverages with accuracy and professionalism. This role requires excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment while upholding the high standards of hospitality that define Altura Concepts.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly with a warm, friendly, and professional demeanor.
- Provide exceptional food and beverage service while ensuring every guest feels welcomed and valued.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders using the company's POS system.
- Deliver food and beverages promptly while ensuring quality, accuracy, and presentation standards are met.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of menu items, daily specials, cocktails, beer, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Make recommendations and upsell menu items, premium beverages, desserts, and specials to enhance the guest experience.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience and respond promptly to requests or concerns.
- Process guest payments accurately while following all cash handling and credit card procedures.
- Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked service stations.
- Clear and reset tables efficiently to maintain a clean and welcoming dining environment.
- Assist with opening, side work, and closing duties as assigned.
- Collaborate effectively with bartenders, hosts, bussers, food runners, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations.
- Verify guest identification and comply with all TABC regulations regarding alcohol service.
- Recognize signs of intoxication and follow responsible alcohol service guidelines.
- Follow all company policies regarding sanitation, food safety, and workplace safety.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance and represent Altura Concepts with integrity and professionalism.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support business operations.
Qualifications
- Previous serving, cocktail serving, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong multitasking and time management abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Positive attitude with a commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences.
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
- Current TABC Certification or ability to obtain before employment.
- Food Handler Certification or ability to obtain if required by local regulations.
- Must be at least 18 years old or meet minimum legal age requirements for alcohol service.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in upscale or high-volume restaurants or lounges.
- Knowledge of classic cocktails, wine, beer, and premium spirits.
- Familiarity with POS systems.
- Strong sales and upselling abilities.
- Excellent conflict resolution and guest recovery skills.
- Ability to anticipate guest needs and provide proactive service.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Frequently lift and carry trays, food, beverages, and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, push, and pull as necessary.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent movement between dining areas and service stations.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts as business demands require.
