The Role
We are seeking a CoE (Center of Excellence) Technical Expert to join our dynamic AMER AI & Content team. This is a high-impact, "hybrid" role designed for a technical powerhouse who is equally comfortable in a terminal, behind a camera, and on a keynote stage.
As a core member of the CoE, your primary mission is the creation and execution of high-stakes Demonstrations and Proof of Concepts (PoC) centered on the Hitachi iQ AI platform and our Object Storage portfolio. You will be the primary technical authority for VSP One Object, Hitachi Content Platform (HCP), and HCP Anywhere Enterprise, proving how these technologies serve as the foundational data lake for modern AI/ML training and unstructured data management.
What You'll be Doing
AI & Object Storage PoC Leadership (Primary Focus)
Hitachi iQ AI Platform: Lead the technical validation and demonstration of the Hitachi iQ AI platform, showcasing its ability to accelerate AI workloads and integrate with enterprise data.
Architecting Data Lakes: Design and execute PoCs that demonstrate how VSP One Object and HCP integrate with AI/ML pipelines (e.g., S3-compatible storage for model training and inference).
Technical Evangelism: Build and maintain "Gold Standard" lab environments to showcase high-performance object storage, advanced metadata search, and multi-tenancy for AI researchers and data scientists.
Content Management: Demonstrate HCP Anywhere Enterprise for secure, global collaboration and edge-to-core data workflows in AI-driven environments.
Engineering & AI Implementation:
Hands-on Configuration: Lead the installation, tuning, and lifecycle management of the Hitachi iQ platform, VSP One Object, HCP, and HCP Anywhere Enterprise.
Hybrid Cloud & GPU Integration: Architect storage solutions that bridge on-premises object storage with public cloud ecosystems and containerized environments (OpenShift, VMware) to support GPU-accelerated computing.
Object Protocols: Serve as the subject matter expert on S3 API integration, REST, and advanced metadata tagging for AI data classification and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) workflows.
Automation & AI Workflow:
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Use Ansible and Terraform to automate the deployment of Hitachi iQ nodes and object storage buckets for rapid AI development.
Data Pipelines: Utilize Python, JavaScript, and Shell scripting to build custom "glue" code that automates data movement from the edge into the AI data lake.
Multimedia Content & Public Speaking:
"Enchanting" Presentations: Present AI-driven storage architectures at large-scale industry conferences and executive briefings with high energy, charisma, and clarity.
Creative Production: Use Blender, Adobe Photoshop, and After Effects to create high-fidelity 3D renders, architectural diagrams, and video content that make our AI solutions visually stunning and easy to digest.
What You'll Bring to the Team
Travel: Ability to travel approximately 3 times per year within the AMER region and internationally for global summits and major industry events.
