Quality Control Analyst I / II – QC Microbiology Location: Memphis, TN Pay Rate: $21.13/hr Duration: 6-Month Contract Schedule: Sunday–Thursday, 2:00 PM–11:00 PM Interview: 45-minute virtual interview
Job Description
The Quality Control Analyst I/II will perform routine QC microbiology testing to support environmental monitoring, raw material testing, and product release activities within a GMP-regulated laboratory.
Perform environmental monitoring, including viable air, non-viable particulate, surface, and personnel monitoring.
Conduct routine microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
QC Analyst II: Perform sterility and bacterial endotoxin testing and microbial media growth promotion.
Prepare environmental monitoring excursion reports and support minor laboratory investigations.
Receive and manage QC laboratory raw materials, media, reagents, and supplies.
Maintain laboratory inventories, logs, records, documentation, and filing systems.
Follow SOPs and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) to maintain data integrity and traceability.
Utilize MODA and other laboratory information/computer systems for QC activities.
Review QC test results for accuracy and precision and ensure testing documentation is completed for product release timelines.
Maintain laboratory organization and support routine QC laboratory operations.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, or related scientific discipline preferred.
Relevant QC microbiology laboratory experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Required Skills
QC microbiology laboratory experience.
Environmental monitoring, including viable air, non-viable particulate, surface, and personnel monitoring.
Microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
GMP/cGMP laboratory operations and Good Documentation Practices.
SOP-driven laboratory testing and data integrity/traceability requirements.
Microbiology laboratory instrumentation and computerized QC systems.
MODA or comparable environmental monitoring/QC laboratory systems.
QC laboratory inventory, media, reagent, and sample management.
Preferred Skills
Sterility testing experience.
Bacterial endotoxin testing experience.
Microbial media growth promotion testing.
Environmental monitoring excursion investigations and laboratory investigations.
Knowledge of CFR, USP, EP, and ICH requirements applicable to QC microbiology.
Experience supporting pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical product release testing.
QC Analyst II-level experience reviewing analytical results for accuracy and precision.
