Opportunity Overview

Our organization is on the lookout for a Board Eligible/Board Certified General Neurologist to become a part of the Department of Cognitive & Behavioral Neurosciences within our Neuroscience Service Line, located in Folsom, California.

We invite candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Neurologists who possess training or experience in cognitive & behavioral neurology or dementia.

Academic, Research, and Technological Engagement

  • Graduate Medical Education: Engage in teaching, curriculum design, and mentorship for the developing Neurology Residency Program, as well as other learners.

  • Research & Innovation: We encourage applicants with an academic or research focus on dementia, neurodegeneration, biomarkers, outcomes, or health-services research to apply (interest is preferred but not mandatory). There are opportunities to collaborate on innovative therapies and delivery methods, including focused ultrasound and blood-brain barrier modulation for targeted drug delivery as this initiative progresses within the Neuroscience Service Line.

  • Technology & Digital Care: Collaborate with the Neuroscience Service Line to utilize technology and mobile devices for cognitive assessments, remote monitoring, caregiver assistance, and data-driven care pathways.

Leadership Opportunities

  • Qualified candidates interested in leadership may be considered for the role of Department Chair for Cognitive & Behavioral Neurosciences, which includes responsibilities for program vision, faculty recruitment, and strategic development across the Neuroscience Service Line.

Qualifications

  • Board Eligible/Board Certified in Neurology.

  • Eligibility for obtaining a medical license in California.

  • A strong commitment to compassionate, patient- and family-centered care for individuals with cognitive disorders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Interest in program development, recruitment, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

  • Experience with or enthusiasm for disease-modifying therapies and infusion-based treatments.

  • Comfort with technology-enabled care, including EMR workflows, telehealth, and mobile cognitive screening tools.

  • Prior experience or interest in leadership, education, or research is advantageous.
