Cold Forming Production Supervisor

Picture your afternoon beginning on the production floor in Whitewater, WI, greeting operators as first shift winds down. You review the boards, check tooling readiness, and assign your crew to the right machines so the line starts strong at 2:00 PM. Through the evening, you’re the go-to problem solver—dialing in setups, coaching teammates, and clearing roadblocks so quality parts ship on time. Before 11:30 PM, you close the loop with management and the next shift to keep momentum going.

About the Role

As the on-floor leader at MacLean-Fogg, you coordinate people, equipment, and materials to hit plan while upholding safety, quality, and housekeeping standards. You’ll mentor team members, facilitate cross-shift handoffs, and serve as the connector between production and leadership.

What You’ll Own

  • Direct daily activities for your crew to achieve throughput and schedule commitments.
  • Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment to resolve technical or quality concerns.
  • Jump in on machines when needed to keep flow steady.
  • Capture accurate production data and complete required documentation promptly.
  • Maintain strong communication with adjacent shifts and management to ensure continuity.
  • Allocate and reassign labor to balance demand, cover absences, and optimize utilization.
  • Inspect incoming materials, in-process parts, and tooling to verify standards are met.
  • Champion waste reduction and process improvement initiatives.
  • Train and mentor operators; interpret work instructions and blueprints to build capability.
  • Guide the Forming team day-to-day with task assignment and technical support.
  • Support timekeeping, feedback, and corrective action processes when appropriate.
  • Collect and report key production metrics for visibility and decision-making.
  • Model and enforce Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies at all times.

Location, Schedule, and Classification

  • Onsite at MacLean-Fogg — Whitewater, WI
  • Schedule: 2:00 PM to 11:30 PM
    • Position Type: Full-Time/Hourly (Non-Exempt)

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical/trade education preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a relevant manufacturing environment.
