An international automotive parts supplier north of Columbus, OH, is currently looking for a full-time Cold Forming Setup Technician to support the production of precision metal components. This person will be responsible for operating, setting up and improving the cold forming processes while resolving product issues. This is a full-time, direct-hire position with excellent benefits.
Job Responsibilities
Cold Forming Setup Technician include:
Maintain a safe and organized work environment
Run and support cold forming machines
Troubleshoot issues, identify defects
Adjust machines as needed
Support changeovers
Support kaizen initiatives
Work with production and quality teams to reduce scrap

Qualifications
Cold Forming Technician requirements Include:
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 10 years of cold forming, cold heading and cold forging experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Ability to catch and troubleshoot defects
Cold forming equipment experience including Sakamura, SACMA, Nakashimada or similar cold forming equipment is ideal
Use of measuring devices a big plus
Ability to reach drawings and blueprints also a big plus
Organizational and time management skills
While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
