GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Crane Operator is a hands-on role. The Crane Operator is responsible for operating an
overhead crane to lift, move, position, and reposition loads while walking and operating the
crane using hand controls. The Crane Operator must be able to stand and walk for 12 hours a day
and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds in the plant.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Operation of various overhead cranes to move various products such as coils.
Inspection of cranes to ensure safety and optimal performance and routine maintenance.
Prioritization and Organization of production line requirements.
Use of all below the hook lifting devices-such as an additional hook connected below the
main hook to assist with lifting and transporting certain product.
Operation of non-assigned cranes as necessary to assist with coverage gaps.
Working knowledge of Work Instructions and J.S.A's which will be provided to the
Crane Operator.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED required.
Must be able to read and speak the English language.
Must be able to pass a drug test, physical examination and a background check.
Must be able to stand and walk for up to 12 hours a day.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
