Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the efficient movement of goods through shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, proper packaging, and timely dispatch. The ideal candidate will possess strong warehouse management skills, experience with warehouse distribution systems, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and safety. Responsibilities

• Prepare and process outgoing shipments by selecting, packing, and labeling products accurately using picking & packing techniques.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners to load and unload freight safely.
• Manage inventory levels within the warehouse management system (WMS) and ensure stock is properly stocked and organized.
• Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders using AS400 or MRP systems; inspect for damages or discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of shipping & receiving activities, including updating order statuses in the warehouse distribution system.
• Assist with order fulfillment by picking orders efficiently using order pickers and RF scanners to meet delivery deadlines.
• Ensure proper packaging of products for safe transportation, adhering to safety standards and company policies.
• Support warehouse distribution processes by coordinating with carriers for timely pickups and deliveries.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Collaborate with inventory control teams to optimize stock levels and support order accuracy.

Skills

• Proven experience in warehouse management systems (WMS), shipping & receiving, and warehouse distribution.
• Skilled in operating forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners safely and efficiently.
• Strong understanding of order fulfillment processes including picking & packing, stocking, and load & unload procedures.
• Familiarity with e-commerce logistics workflows and packaging requirements.
• Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and calculations related to shipping weights or dimensions.
• Knowledge of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems such as AS400 or similar platforms.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Two positions available for two different shifts:
• Hours would be 2pm-10:30pm-Hours would be 8am-5:00pm
• Shipping & receiving experience
• Some Scanning experience
• Computer experience
• Sit down forklift certifcation/Experience
• Cold freezer environment
• Experience loading trucks
• Able to work at least two Saturdays a month
• Preferable to be bilingual
