YOUR DAY-TO-DAY ROLE SUMMARY
Cold Test Technicians supports the klystron manufacturing process by assembling, inspecting, measuring, and verifying subassemblies and full units prior to high-power electrical testing. This role focuses on ensuring mechanical integrity, alignment, vacuum readiness, and preliminary electrical characteristics of complex RF hardware.
The technician works with precision instruments and diagnostic equipment while collaborating closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to identify discrepancies and ensure product readiness. This position requires strong attention to detail, technical judgment, and comfort working with both mechanical assemblies and electronic test equipment.
YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Typically, 3-5 years of experience in electro-mechanical assembly, electronics maintenance, RF systems, military technical roles, or a related manufacturing environment, or an AA degree in electronics or a technical field.
Experience troubleshooting or maintaining electronic RF radar avionics or similar technical systems is highly valued. Familiarity with diagnostic instruments, such as oscilloscopes, network analyzers, signal analyzers, multimeters, or other electronic measurement equipment, is also highly valued.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation, strong mechanical aptitude, and experience handling precision components or assemblies are also required.
Experience working in regulated safety-sensitive or mission-critical environments, military aerospace, medical, semiconductor, etc., is a plus. High attention to detail, strong documentation and communication skills, proficiency with basic computer systems, and willingness to learn new software tools are also essential.
