Overview:
A small, growing private practice is seeking a Collaborating Psychiatrist to support a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in meeting state and DEA licensing requirements. This remote, part-time role is ideal for a Georgia-licensed psychiatrist who is passionate about mentorship, compliance, and quality psychiatric care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight and collaborate on prescribing controlled substances.

  • Review 10% of patient charts, as mandated by Georgia PMHNP regulations.

  • Provide consultation and guidance on complex or challenging cases.

  • Ensure ongoing compliance with Georgia state laws and DEA requirements.

  • Maintain open and professional communication, including periodic check-ins and availability for guidance.

Requirements:

  • Active Medical License in Georgia (Required).

  • Clean professional record (no violations or disciplinary history).

  • Experience in psychiatric care, ideally in a collaborative setting.

  • Ability to review charts and advise on treatment plans.

  • Willingness to submit to a background check, if needed.

  • Malpractice insurance (or willingness to obtain coverage).

  • Commitment to signing a Collaborative Practice Agreement following Georgia law.

Compensation:

  • $250/month for the first 6 months (practice setup phase).

  • $300/month after initial 6 months.

  • Payments are issued monthly on the 1st.

Schedule & Commitment:

  • Flexible, self-determined hours.

  • Regular check-ins (minimum of 30 minutes, twice weekly).

  • Commitment of at least 6 months, with the option to extend by mutual agreement.

  • 30-day notice is required for termination by either party.
