Job Summary/Basic Function
Perform as a collaborative pianist for students and ensembles. Coordinate and manage a roster of professional and student accompanists. Accompany or assign accompanists for student, faculty, and guest artist recitals and prospective student auditions. Teach Accompanying and The Piano in Ensemble classes. Hours will include evenings and weekend times.
Specific Responsibilities
Perform as collaborative pianist for students and ensembles
Coordinate and manage a roster of professional and student accompanists
Accompany or assign accompanists for student, faculty, guest artist recitals, and prospective student auditions/lessons
Teaching accompanying and piano ensemble courses, when offered
Coordinate with music office on piano tuning and upkeep
Required Relevant Education & Experience
Education:Bachelor's Degree (4 years); Experience: 5-6 Years

Music
Preferred Relevant Education and Experience
Master's degree or higher in Piano Performance or Collaborative Piano. Good sight-reading skills and the ability to learn new music quickly. Familiarity with performance techniques of all musical eras. Organizational skills to assign accompanying duties.

Serves as Staff Accompanist for numerous and various University musical events.

Administrative duties: sign repertoire to part time accompanists, keep track of these assigned hours for students/ accompanists, approve timesheets before Budget Director's final approval, arrange piano maintenance
