Description
The Collateral Review Manager is responsible for overseeing residential appraisal and valuation review activities within Collateral Risk Management (CRM). This role ensures that appraisal and valuation products used in lending decisions comply with applicable regulatory requirements, investor guidelines, company policies, and appraisal independence standards. The manager provides leadership and guidance to appraisal analysts, supports risk management initiatives, manages review escalations, and serves as a key partner to Credit Risk, Operations, Underwriting, Secondary Marketing, Fulfillment, and other business stakeholders.
Primary responsibilities include:
Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Extensive experience in residential appraisal review, collateral risk management, mortgage underwriting, appraisal operations, or related field.
Strong knowledge of:
Interagency Appraisal and Evaluation Guidelines
USPAP
Appraiser Independence Requirements (AIR)
Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac appraisal requirements
Residential mortgage lending and collateral risk management
Experience interpreting and applying credit policy, investor guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex escalations in a fast-paced environment.

The salary range for this position is $98,000 - $128,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is
based on various factors including but not limited to the budget, work location, and relevant skills and experience.
