BASIC FUNCTION

Under general direction of the Collection System Manager, this position is responsible for assisting the Collection System Manager. General duties include managing personnel, communications with management staff and hourly employees, regulatory agencies and the general public. Writing and presenting reports. This position will actively be involved in operations and maintenance responsibilities.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. *Assist in managing personnel through staff communication and Regulatory Agency.
  2. *Comply with Operations and Maintenance programs.
  3. *Supervises field operators.
  4. *On call after hours is required.
  5. Follow OSHA Safety Regulations
  6. Perform other duties as assigned.

MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  6. Frequent lifting or carrying of 10 pounds and on occasion may be required to lift up to 20 pounds.
  7. May stand or walk 1-4 hours per day.
  8. May sit more than 8 hours per day.
  9. May drive for 1-3 hours per day.
  10. Employee must use hands for repetitive fine manipulation.
  11. Occasional bending, kneeling, climbing, twisting, reaching and lift approved weight above shoulder level.
  12. Position will occasionally require hearing protection.
  13. Vision must be correctable to 20/20.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS

  1. This position requires working in both an internal and external environment.
  2. Significant amount of time will be spent working outdoors and in inclement weather (within reason and safety) to include: hot, humid, cold, rain, ice and snow.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENE, AND TRAINING

  1. Graduation from high school and demonstrate the ability to work at this level based on past work experience.
  2. Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in written form.
  3. A pleasant, friendly, and outgoing demeanor.
  4. Willingness to take on additional tasks as assigned.
  5. Must have a valid Class B CDL (or higher) and good driving record.
  6. Familiar with basic OSHA standards and safety practices.
