We offer representation and customer service in the fields of Collection, Bankruptcy, and Creditor Rights.Job DescriptionSummary: The Account Representative is the primary customer service representative responsible for managing consumer accounts while operating within the strict requirements of our clients as a member of the Collections team. This position maintains a positive relationship with the consumers in order to generate revenue for the company. This position operates under strict guidelines and high expectations for meeting key performance indicators in a fast‑paced work environment.Primary ResponsibilitiesMaintains inbound and outbound collection communications within client deadlines and requirementsResponsible for scaling calls to a supervisor when appropriateReviews consumer accounts, makes recommendations, and implements appropriate action under the guidance of the Collections ManagersNegotiates payment arrangements with consumersPerforms skip‑tracing activities to discover consumer informationResponsible for accurately and completely detailing account informationManages and maintains precise accuracy on multiple accounts in individual account queuesMust adhere to all Fair Debt Collection Practices Act regulations as well as applicable state regulationsEstablishes and maintains professional relationships with consumers and team membersMaintains a high degree of mental agility (is able to talk, type, and formulate plans of actions in a short period of time)Must meet strict deadlines, reach attainable goals, and handle multiple priorities at the same timeOther duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentBasic understanding of the U.S. legal process preferredWord processing and spreadsheet navigationMinimum two (2) years of prior experience as a collector, preferredExperience with skip‑tracing tools and strategies preferredExperience working in an open office call center preferredLegal industry experience preferredAbility to deescalate disgruntled callers and negotiate payment termsStrong mental agility and decision making skillsBasic knowledge of the use of Microsoft Office SuiteSolid knowledge of Fair Debt Collection Practices ActState specific knowledge of collections regulations preferredProven ability to meet key performance indicators in a fast‑paced, professional, work environmentBi‑lingual preferred (Spanish reading and speaking)Majority of this position will be in a professional office environmentWill type, write, use finger dexterity, talk, hear, and see (up close and moderate distances) as a normal part of job dutiesWill be on the phone continuously through the scheduled work dayWill occasionally need to lift up to 25 lbs.Additional InformationThis is a full‑time position that is eligible for our total rewards package, including multiple medical & dental plan options, vision coverage, life and disability offerings, flexible spending accounts for health and dependent savings, health savings account and a 401(k) plan.
