ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

CornerStone Professional Placement is partnering with a leading organization in the agricultural and heavy equipment industry to identify an experienced Collections & Accounts Receivable Specialist for an onsite, temporary-to-hire opportunity in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

This position will manage dealer receivables, collect outstanding balances, reconcile accounts, research payment and invoice discrepancies, and monitor account activity and collection performance. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in collections, accounts receivable, account reconciliation, inventory accounting, dealer finance, or related financial operations.

Experience working with government agencies, municipalities, GSA programs, or government-funded contracts is highly valued.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Collect outstanding floorplan balances, curtailments, aged receivables, and other dealer obligations through direct communication and consistent follow-up with assigned accounts.

• Monitor assigned dealer accounts and outstanding financial obligations.

• Research and resolve transfer, invoice, payment, and account reconciliation issues.

• Perform detailed account reconciliations and maintain accurate supporting documentation.

• Analyze dealer account activity, remittance trends, aging, and collection performance to identify potential issues or areas of concern.

• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of collection activity and account reconciliations.

• Assist with watch-list reporting and management reports related to collections and receivable exposure.

• Research and resolve account discrepancies and payment exceptions.

• Support inventory accounting and inventory audit activities as needed.

• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, reconciliation, inventory accounting, dealer finance, or related financial operations.

• Strong knowledge of collection practices, accounts receivable processes, and reconciliation methodologies.

• Experience researching and resolving account discrepancies and payment exceptions.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word.

• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with inventory auditing, account reconciliation, and collections processes.

• Experience handling collections involving government agencies and/or local municipalities.

• Experience with GSA programs and government-funded contracts.

• Working knowledge of inventory accounting principles and inventory audit procedures.

• Experience with SAP or a similar ERP/accounting system.

• Knowledge of FCRA principles and applicable collections compliance requirements.

• Experience within dealer finance, floorplan financing, agricultural equipment, heavy equipment, automotive, or similar environments.
