Burnett is proud to be partnering with a Texas leader in green energy! Our client is dedicated to providing 100% renewable, clean electricity as well as carbon-neutral natural gas. They are currently needing to add a Collections Operations Analyst to their busy Northwest Houston Team. This is an amazing Temp-to-Hire opportunity with a company that truly values its employees! 

The Collections Operations Analyst will support critical transaction processing, account review activities, and operational reporting functions. This role is responsible for monitoring high-volume workflows, investigating exceptions, ensuring data accuracy, and supporting compliance with established business requirements and service-level expectations. The ideal candidate is organized, data-driven, comfortable working with large datasets, and capable of balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and monitor daily operational workflows and transaction processing activities
  • Review completed, pending, failed, and exception-based transactions to ensure accuracy and timely resolution
  • Investigate discrepancies, processing errors, and data inconsistencies across multiple systems
  • Monitor account activity and transaction history to ensure compliance with established procedures
  • Review records for eligibility and processing requirements based on business rules and regulatory guidelines
  • Validate account information, payment activity, customer arrangements, and pending actions prior to processing
  • Track transaction outcomes and resolution statuses to ensure timely completion
  • Perform routine audits, reconciliations, and quality-control reviews
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends, risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
  • Prepare operational reports, dashboards, and tracking documentation
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve processing issues and improve workflow efficiency
  • Support process improvement initiatives, system enhancements, and procedural updates
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and service-level commitments
  • Navigate multiple systems and databases to research, validate, and document account activity
Qualifications
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify anomalies within large datasets
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, filtering, and reporting
  • Experience supporting high-volume operational or transaction-processing environments
  • Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and manage time-sensitive tasks effectively
  • Strong written communication, documentation, and organizational skills
  • Experience in operations, transaction management, financial services, utilities, customer account administration, payment processing, or other regulated industries is preferred
Location/Salary/Hours/etc.:
  • Role will be 100% onsite at client office in Northwest Houston
  • Starting Pay Rate will be $19/hr
  • Hours will be Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
  • Role is slated as Temp-to-Hire with a high probability of going perm
