This position combines customer service, negotiation, and compliance-focused collections work while ensuring a positive customer experience.The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling high-volume inbound and outbound calls while meeting performance goals.Key ResponsibilitiesMake inbound and outbound collection calls regarding delinquent auto loan accountsCommunicate with customers via phone, email, and written correspondenceSecure payments, payment promises, or establish repayment plansProvide professional and empathetic customer service in a collection's environmentReview, process, and document account adjustments and updatesResolve payment discrepancies, disputes, and short paymentsMaintain accurate records of all customer interactions and collection activityFollow all state and federal debt collection laws (FDCPA) and company policiesManage an assigned portfolio of customer accountsMeet or exceed individual and team collections performance metricsEscalate accounts to supervisors or management when appropriatePerform additional duties as assignedQualifications & SkillsHigh school diploma or equivalentPrevious experience in collections, customer service, call center, loan servicing, or sales preferred but we will teach the right candidateStrong verbal and written communication skillsExcellent time management and multitasking abilitiesStrong attention to detail and documentation accuracyAbility to negotiate and problem-solve effectivelyComputer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and account management systemsAbility to work in a fast-paced, metric-driven collections departmentAbility to listen, speak, and enter data simultaneouslyBilingual English/Spanish preferred (may be required based on business needs)Pay & BenefitsCompetitive hourly pay: $21 - $25/hour401(k) with company matchMedical, dental, and vision insuranceOptional life insurancePaid holidaysPaid vacation and sick timeOpportunities for internal promotion and career advancementAbout Lobel FinancialLobel Financial is a nationwide auto finance company specializing in the servicing of prime and sub-prime auto loans.
