Collections Specialist

Piper Companies is seeking a Collections Specialist to support a growing organization in the ophthalmic medical device industry. The Collections Specialist role focuses on managing overdue accounts, improving cash flow, and maintaining positive customer relationships while supporting the financial health of the business. The Collections Specialist role is a 3 month contract with potential to extend and requires you to work hybrid in Raleigh, NC (27615).

Responsibilities of the Collections Specialist:

• Proactively collect overdue accounts through phone, email, and written communication.
• Prepare and distribute customer statements and dunning notices.
• Monitor aging reports and follow up on delinquent accounts.
• Research and resolve billing inquiries and disputes.
• Collaborate with internal teams including Sales, Operations, and Finance.
• Negotiate payment plans in accordance with company policies.

Requirements of the Collections Specialist:

• High school diploma required; associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 1+ years of B2B and B2C collections or accounts receivable experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer applications.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation for the Collections Specialist:

• $18.00 - $22.00 per hour depending on experience
