Collections SpecialistSalary Range: $70,000.00 To $80,000.00 AnnuallyProcopio is seeking a Collections Specialist to join our Accounting & Finance Department in our Downtown San Diego office on a hybrid schedule. The Collections Specialist will support the Finance Department by managing accounts receivable and driving timely collections of outstanding client balances. This person will work closely with attorneys, billing staff, and clients to ensure accurate account status, resolve payment issues, and maintain strong client relationships. Responsibilities include monitoring aging reports, following up on overdue invoices, researching payment discrepancies, and coordinating with attorneys on collection strategies. The Collections Specialist will also respond to client inquiries regarding account balances, provide supporting documentation when needed, and assist with maintaining accurate financial records. This role requires a proactive, detail‑oriented individual who can balance persistence with professionalism in client communications.The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and analytical skills, the ability to prioritize multiple accounts effectively, and a customer service mindset when working with attorneys and clients. Candidates should be comfortable handling sensitive financial conversations and navigating payment discussions with professionalism and tact. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel, are required, along with experience using accounting or collections software such as Aderant or similar systems. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with at least two years of experience in accounts receivable or collections, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.Procopio offers generous total compensation packages.
