SUMMARY
The Collections Supervisor monitors and coordinates the Collection efforts for all NEVHC clinic sites, including medical, dental, and all other services. Manages patient accounts to ensure timely payments from third-party payers and patients.
REPORTS TO: Billing & Collections Manager
REQUIREMENTS
Associate degree is desirable, with previous collections experience or at least three years of management experience in a clinic or medical group setting.
Bilingual in Spanish is desirable.
Proficient in knowledge of Medi-Cal, Medicare, and other state and local insurance billing.
Working knowledge ICD-10, CPT-4, HCPC's, and claim forms, such as CMS-1500 and UB-04.
Math skills sufficient to prepare routine spreadsheets.
Demonstrated supervisory and leadership skills sufficient to supervise from 5 to 15 employees.
Computer skills in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.), electronic health record systems, electronic practice management systems.
Effective verbal and written communication skills to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and others.
Effective work organization skills.
Ability to be flexible and work in a changing environment.
Demonstrated ability to listen and communicate with others in a professional and caring manner, including sensitivity with individuals from diverse cultures and lifestyles.
Demonstrated ability to set priorities for tasks to work effectively in spite of interruptions and under minimal supervision.
Fluency in English (speak, read and write).
Ability to solve problems and make routine recommendations.
Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality about health care and other patient/client information.
Current California driver's license, appropriate insurance coverage, and a driving record acceptable to the NEVHC's insurance carrier (if required to drive on the job).
