We are currently seeking an experienced Collector for a credit union located in Carson, CA!

Type: Temp-to-hire (based on performance/attendance)

Pay: $25-27/hr

Schedule: Full-time; Monday – Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm

Responsibilities:

• Contact members by phone, email, and mail regarding past-due accounts (11–60 days).
• Collectect on auto, credit card, and HELOC loans.
• Collect payments and arrange payment plans in compliance with credit union policies.
• Provide information to members on repayment options and account status.
• Perform light skip-tracing to locate members when needed.
• Document all collection activities accurately and timely in the system.
• Maintain compliance with federal and state collection laws and regulations.
• Deliver excellent member service while resolving delinquencies.

Requirements:

• 1 year of recent collections experience.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality.
• Basic knowledge of consumer loan products a plus.
