Job Description
Office Location: Abilene, Texas, United States
SCOPE/CONTACTS:
• The incumbent has frequent contact with customers, consumer and commercial loan officers and other departments. • Customer contact is in person, by telephone, and by written correspondence. • This position requires the ability to think outside the box for resolutions to difficult situations. • Results of work are spot-checked, some physical effort required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Must be knowledgeable of Bank Collecting procedures and related state and federal laws, as well as bankruptcy laws for chapter 7, 11, and 13. • Must be able to work without immediate supervision and exercise independent judgment and discretion. • Ability to represent the bank with legal matters such as filing judgments at small claims courthouse and with bankruptcies situations and bank attorneys. • Must be firm, but fair, with delinquents and provide assistance in handling financial responsibilities. • Actively participate in the sales and service culture, support the values of the organization and follow established Bank policies and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school graduate or equivalent • 3 years Bank lending/loan operation experience in an established financial institution required. • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be dependable, self-motivated, and have a strong sense of urgency. • Knowledge in automobiles such as values, sales, and basic mechanical valuation helpful. • Must be able to drive a standard transmission and commercial vehicle.
