Worksite Description
This position is on-site at area schools in Kansas City.
All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.
What You''ll Need to Succeed
Minimum Qualifications:
- Requires a bachelor''s degree. Education beyond the minimum degree requirement may count toward required experience if deemed relevant by the hiring manager. The degree requirement ensures candidates possess the foundational knowledge, communication skills and developmental insight essential for guiding students toward post-secondary success and fostering a college-going culture. These competencies are typically developed and rigorously validated only through the comprehensive curriculum and experiential learning inherent in a formal degree program.
- Valid driver''s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills
- Organized, self-directed, able to juggle multiple deadline
- Experience mentoring or tutoring youth, especially those facing economic barriers
- Familiarity with college admission, financial-aid processes, or workforce development resources
- Spanish proficiency a plus
Additional Role Information:
- Must have valid driver''s license and reliable transportation
