    Description

    In order to participate in Berklee Student Employment, a student must fulfill the following requirements:

    • Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.

    • Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program. Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.

    • Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).

    • Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable.

    • A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.

    • Federal Work Study student may apply.

    • In good disciplinary standing.

    • Must be located in the U.S.

    The Office of Admissions hosts 3-4 on campus audition and interview (A&I) events each summer for applicants to Berklee College of Music’s undergraduate programs. The College Auditions Assistant position assists the Admissions team with executing these important events for prospective students. The A&I days take place on Saturdays throughout the year, typically starting at 7:30am and going until approximately 6pm. There will be mandatory training for all new hires.

    Responsibilities:

    • Check-in applicants for their audition or interview at on campus events, and provide them with helpful information about their audition and all that they need to know for the day
    • Escort applicants to audition location(s) if it is in a different building than where they check-in and from their warm-up room to the audition room

    Required Skills and Knowledge:

    • Strong English writing, reading, and communication skills
    • Effective knowledge of the Google Workspaces, particularly: Google Mail (+ utilizing templates); Google Drive, Docs & Sheets; Google Calendar
    • Basic knowledge of Facebook and Instagram, with the ability to utilize their messenger functions, incl. template responses
    • Very comfortable using technology and learning new tools and platforms
    • Ability to independently manage deadlines and complete tasks on time
    • Ability to work well with others, and to take direction on tasks and projects
    • Organized, motivated, attentive to detail, punctual, and sensitive to confidential information

    Hourly Rate: Student Worker 1, $16.45/hour
