PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Oversee, plan, implement and evaluate a comprehensive program to ensure College Career Military Readiness for all students, including organizing College and Career guidance, Dual Credit, Military advising, student support programs/testing to encourage all students to make informed and optimal post secondary educational and career choices
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification
Bachelor's Degree
Master's Degree (preferred)
Counseling Certification or related experience as it applies to College and Career Readiness
Special Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of graduation requirements and support services for students
Knowledge of Academic and/or Behavior Plan goal setting process and implementation
Evidence of leadership skills, especially with diverse populations
Ability to collaborate with diverse staff and community members in the delivery of programs and services Knowledge of college/career advisement, including Advanced Placement, Dual Credit and college testing Working knowledge of state codes governing guidance, attendance and discipline Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills Strong computer skills, including knowledge and intermediate use of spreadsheets
Experience:
Successful experience in working with At-Risk Youth and related data management Preferred experience with Dual Credit and transcript (AAR) evaluation
