The College of Health Solutions at Arizona State University is seeking a full-time 9-month career track instructional faculty member at the rank of assistant teaching professor for our rapidly growing Kinesiology degree with potential opportunities to teach courses in other movement sciences degree programs. This is a fixed-term appointment that is renewable annually. Subsequent one-year appointments may be offered under the same terms and conditions at the discretion of the College and University.

Responsibilities for this position include teaching a varied selection of in-person hybrid or online courses in the Kinesiology KIN undergraduate and graduate programs and providing service to the College and relevant degrees. Courses may be offered at multiple campuses or in online formats depending on student enrollment and interest. Applicants must present evidence of teaching experience and a strong commitment to high-quality teaching. Candidates with teaching skills across a breadth of exercise science courses are preferred. Typical workloads for instructional faculty are consistent with 80 teaching usually equivalent to four courses per semester and 20 service.

Essential Functions Effectively design and teach multiple courses in kinesiology for students pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology or other movement science degree programs, either online or in immersion. These courses include but are not limited to: • Introductory kinesiology • Evidence-based practice • Exercise and sport psychology • Other foundational exercise science courses

Effectively collaborate with colleagues and engage in program, college, and university service activities.
