    • Assist with internal audits of assigned district projects and departments under the guidance of supervisors
    • Support audit procedures, including helping identify potential findings, learning how criteria are developed, reviewing and analyzing evidence, and documenting client processes and procedures
    • Help prepare reports summarizing the findings of completed projects, with contributions to recommendations for corrective action
    • Participate in entrance and exit conferences associated with the audit engagement
    • Assist in reviewing financial records, reports, documentation, and operating procedures to ensure compliance with Board of Trustee policy and administrative procedures and keep abreast of the district''s policies and procedures relevant to the audits assigned
    • Support review of financial operations and procedures to determine if results are consistent with established objectives and goals, and whether the funds are being used as planned
    • Assist in reviewing financial controls, record retention, documentation, and backup to ensure fund function properly and learn how adequate controls and audit trails are maintained
