Color Guard Assistant– J.S. Battle H.S.

Position Summary: The instructor will conduct an instructional program for the color guard in complete consultation and under the direction of the band director. Successful applicant will be able to implement the following:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The minimum performance expectations include, but are not limited to, the following functions/tasks:

• Color guard specialist to assist in color guard class as arranged with band director, along with designated after-school rehearsals, football games and competitions at John Battle High School
• Extracurricular duties may include marching band and winter guard
• Design choreography for color guard to work in conjunction with the music of the fall marching show and winter guard program
• Provide instruction of choreography and marching drill to color guard students in the fall marching band and the winter guard programs
• Provide assistance in color guard uniform selection that will integrate with uniforms as well as the marching show & winter guard show
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisors.
