Overview

Combat Systems/Armory Management Technician (JXQN-2026-25038): 

Bowhead seeks a Combat Systems/Armory Management Technician to support the Weapons Systems Training Branch at Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:  

The Instructor will provide subject matter expertise and instruction in combat systems and armory management, ensuring personnel are trained in proper weapons accountability, storage procedures, maintenance protocols, and regulatory compliance.  

Essential functions will include:   

  • Conducting classroom and practical instruction.
  • Evaluating student performance, maintaining training records, and ensuring all training aligns with current Navy and Department of Defense standards.

Primary training support includes, but not limited to:

  • NECC Armory Management Course (A-020-0011)

The course listed above represents current training requirements and may be updated or modified based on evolving mission needs or changes in policy and guidance.

  

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  

  • Associates degree is required  an at least five (5+) years of work experience.  
  • Experience in armory operations, small arms instruction, and combat systems support.
  • Strong instructional and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrable experience developing and delivering training programs 
  • Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint  
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team 

Physical Demands:  

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds  
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time 
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically  

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level.  US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
