Raba Kistner is seeking a detailed-oriented, dependable CoMET Laboratory Supervisor to join our Consultants team in Dallas, TX.

Job Responsibilities:

The CoMET Laboratory Supervisor will be responsible for the completion of all laboratory test results, including quality reporting to achieve assigned deadlines. Other responsibilities include:

• Contact Supervisor and professional staff for priorities, deadlines, and special work assignments. • Coordinate individual assignments for laboratory technicians. • Review laboratory procedures and verify accuracy and completeness of laboratory results. • Perform routine and specialized testing of construction materials. • Evaluate test data. • Report data under the Supervisor's guidance. • Set up new projects. • Write draft reports for review by Supervisor and professional staff. • Invoice laboratory-testing services. • Provide training and instructional guidance to laboratory technicians. • Check time records of technicians daily for accuracy. • Inform Supervisor of workload, overtime requirements and status of current and future projects. • Provide daily oversight and direction to lab technicians and conduct performance reviews as assigned. • Assist Supervisor and professional staff with special assignments. • Perform maintenance of laboratory inspection equipment as well as the calibration and proper documentation of all applicable equipment. • Assist in maintenance of special equipment. • Maintain an adequate stock of routine supplies and materials. • Assign general housekeeping duties including trash removal, sweeping floors, dusting, cleaning windows, and storage, and disposal of test samples. • Assist with preparation and execution of external and internal audits. • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, G.E.D., or High School Equivalency certificate required. • Minimum of three(3) years' experience with designated area of laboratory testing OR Bachelor's degree in engineering or science and two (2) years' experience. • Must possess applicable ACI and/or TxDOT certifications dependent on the specific laboratory discipline. • Must be NICET Level II or higher or a combination of ACI Aggregates, strength and field, or obtain within six(6) months from date of employment. • Possess a valid driver's license within the applicable jurisdiction and meet company's auto insurability requirements. • Capable of drafting technical reports and proposals. • Recording skills to report test data. • Communication skills for meeting with clients and handling incoming calls concerning test data. • Organizational skills to set priorities, schedule assignments, and meet deadlines. • Supervise technicians with varying degrees of experience and educational background.

This position may frequently work near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and risk of electrical shock; may occasionally work in high, precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of radiation, extreme cold, vibration; may regularly work in outdoor weather conditions, wet or humid conditions, extreme heat. Noise level for this position is loud (metal can manufacturing department, large equipment, etc.). Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance.

Work Environment:

This position may require protracted or irregular hours. Flexibility to work irregular hours is necessary due to client needs. Work may require out-of-town/overnight travel to Raba Kistner offices, client offices, and project locations.
