Hiring Process:

We understand that applying and interviewing can be time-consuming. Because this is a high-priority role, we have built a hiring process that moves quickly while still making sure this is the right fit for both you and River City.

The Opportunity:

River City Plumbing, Heating & Cooling is looking for a Comfort Advisor to run technician-generated HVAC replacement and marketing leads in the Omaha market.

This is not a cold-calling role. These are homeowners who already have a need and have already interacted with our team.

Most appointments involve HVAC replacement systems ranging from approximately $12,000–$18,000+. Strong consultants typically run 3–4 appointments per day and are expected to help homeowners make confident decisions during the appointment.

This is a major opportunity for someone who wants to get in early with a growing Omaha company that is still family-owned and operated, while being backed by the support, systems, and experience of Golden Rule Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electrical in Des Moines.

What You'll Do:

• Meet with homeowners after a technician has identified a replacement opportunity
• Handle inbound marketing calls from homeowners requesting quotes
• Ask strong questions to understand the homeowner’s needs, concerns, and decision-making process
• Educate homeowners on system options, comfort solutions, and long-term value
• Create confidence and urgency without sounding pushy or transactional
• Help homeowners feel comfortable making a large purchasing decision
• Partner with technicians, managers, and office staff to create a 5-star customer experience

What We're Looking For:

• Previous in-home sales experience strongly preferred
• HVAC sales experience preferred
• Experience selling large-ticket products or services
• Ability to build relationships quickly with homeowners
• Strong communication and objection-handling skills
• Confidence in asking for the sale during the appointment
• Competitive mindset and comfort working in a performance-based compensation structure
• Professional appearance, strong follow-through, and customer-first mentality
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Ideal backgrounds may include HVAC sales, roofing sales, window/door sales, home improvement sales, car sales, or other high-ticket B2C sales roles.

Compensation:

• Small base salary plus uncapped bonus/commission structure
• The majority of earnings in this role come from performance-based compensation
• Top performers have strong earning potential
