Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney

Location: Atlanta, GA (On-Site)
Compensation: $140,000–$150,000 Base Salary + Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits

Our client, a highly respected and growing law firm in Atlanta, is seeking a talented Commercial Litigation Associate to join its sophisticated litigation team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an attorney who enjoys handling complex civil and commercial disputes while working alongside accomplished litigators in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

The ideal candidate is a motivated attorney with strong analytical abilities, outstanding writing skills, and hands-on litigation experience who is looking to take ownership of cases and develop professionally within a thriving practice.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of complex commercial and civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, and legal briefs with minimal supervision.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and develop litigation strategies.
  • Manage written discovery, document production, and deposition preparation.
  • Attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances.
  • Prepare witnesses, experts, and clients for depositions and trial.
  • Collaborate closely with partners on case strategy and client counseling.
  • Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
  • Maintain regular client communication while providing practical legal guidance.
  • Support trial preparation, including exhibit organization, witness preparation, and courtroom logistics.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the Georgia Bar (or ability to waive into practice if applicable).
  • 3–6 years of experience handling commercial and civil litigation matters.
  • Strong experience drafting substantive motions and legal memoranda.
  • Deposition experience preferred.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple matters while meeting litigation deadlines.
  • Experience appearing in state and federal courts is a plus.
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional client service and achieving favorable outcomes.

  • Base salary of $140,000–$150,000, commensurate with experience.
