Command Center Operator, Drone Operations

Job Title: Command Center Operator, Drone Operations (Part Time, Contract)

Location: Brentwood, TN (on site)

Type: Ongoing part time W2 contract, 30 hours per week

Pay: Competitive hourly rate, based on experience

About the Opportunity
FocusPoint Talent Solutions is recruiting a Command Center Operator for a well established national organization in the industrial sector. This is an ongoing role with no set end date. You will be part of a team that keeps a real time eye on operations, using drone video and live data to spot issues early and keep people safe.

If you are detail oriented, calm under pressure, and enjoy flying drones or watching a lot of information at once, this one is worth a look.

What You Will Do

• Remotely pilot drones for routine, scheduled, and urgent inspections
• Support emergency response by providing live visual information to site teams
• Monitor dashboards, drone feeds, and alerts to maintain awareness of site conditions
• Spot anomalies, hazards, and abnormal conditions, and escalate them quickly
• Document missions, observations, and escalations accurately
• Coordinate with site personnel and fellow operators to carry out safe missions
• Take part in training, drills, and continuous improvement

Schedule

• Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (30 hours per week)
• Flexibility to cover nights, weekends, or holidays as needed
• On site in Brentwood, TN

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent mix of education and experience
• Strong attention to detail and sound judgment
• Ability to monitor several information sources at once
• Clear written and verbal communication
• Comfort working as part of a 24/7 team

Nice to Have

• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate (if you do not have it yet, you will be expected to earn it within your first week)
• Drone or UAS piloting experience, including military, public safety, or utility work
• Experience in industrial, energy, manufacturing, utility, or similar operational settings
• Industrial inspection experience
• Safety, health, or environmental (HSE or EHS) background

Great Fit If You Are
A veteran with UAS experience, a public safety or utility drone pilot looking for a second income, a safety or inspection professional moving to part time, or a semi retired operations professional who wants meaningful work on a set schedule. Also a fit if you want steady, long term part time work rather than a short project.
