Commercial Cleaner/Day Porter

Job Summary: Custodian is responsible for keeping all areas clean, safe, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, is dependable, and understands the importance of a clean and welcoming space for our clients.  Essential Job Functions:Sweep, mop, vacuum, clean interior glass and dust throughout the facilityClean and sanitize restrooms, lobby, common areas, mix rooms and officesEmpty trash and restock restroom suppliesEnsure cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintainedWork together with facilities manager on supply reorder and organize supplyReport any maintenance issues or safety hazards to facilities managerAttention to detail and pride in your workQualifications:Must be able to lift or move materials up to 35 lbsPrevious custodial experience preferred, especially in commercial facilityMust be able to pass a criminal background checkExercise sound judgment and discretion in all matters including client confidentiality Ability to work independently and manage time effectivelyFlexibility to work special events Good command of the English language and understand of oral or written instructionsFrequent walking throughout the facility with ability to walk, bend or stand for extended periodsMust be able to work in a fast paced and high-energy environment Maintaining neat and clean personal appearance Responsibilities and Duties:Performs cleaning and housekeeping duties within the facilityLobbyRestroomsConference RoomsMix RoomsBreakroomOfficesKitchenettesInterior GlassTrashShop FloorWarehouse sinks/water fountainsSupply ClosetsHelp maintain facilities consumable inventory and organization Work with facility manager on specific cleaning needs
