COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATOR

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Interface with clients and their representatives
• Technical specifications and designs are feasible
• Ensure that consistent with industry standards
• Develop accurate and complete job estimates
• Identify project labor, material, and time requirements
• Study proposals, blueprints, written specifications and related documents
• Conduct site visits and attend pre-bid meetings to know project scope
• Conduct review and take-off of blueprints
• Solicit bids from subcontractors
• Gather subcontractor pricing and conduct scope review
• Evaluate subcontractor bids to ensure full scope of work was considered
• Calculate costs of subcontract labor, general conditions, and materials
• Collaborate with the client to help them achieve their project cost budget

 REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of experience estimating
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management preferred
• Equivalent combination of education/experience will be considered
• Conceptual, Schematic Design, and Design Development
• Construction document budgets and estimates
