Position Overview
The Commercial Construction Plumbing Apprentice supports Journeyman plumbers and project teams in the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems on commercial construction projects. This position is ideal for individuals seeking to establish a career in the plumbing trade while receiving hands on training in a fast-paced construction environment.
The apprentice will learn industry best practices, plumbing codes, safety standards, blueprint reading, material handling, and installation techniques while assisting with the construction of schools, healthcare facilities, office buildings, retail centers, multi-family developments, industrial facilities, and other commercial projects.
Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Requirements
Plumbing Installation Support
Assist licensed plumbers with the installation of commercial plumbing systems, including:
Domestic water systems
Sanitary waste and vent systems
Storm drainage systems
Natural gas piping systems
Medical gas systems (where applicable)
Specialty piping systems
Measure, cut, thread, assemble, and install piping materials under supervision.
Assist with rough-in and finish plumbing installations.
Help install plumbing fixtures, equipment, valves, pumps, and accessories.
Support underground plumbing installation activities.
Assist with testing and inspection procedures.

Work Environment
Employees must be able to pass pre-employment screening including a background, motor vehicle check and drug screening. Maintaining eligibility to operate company vehicles is a fundamental job requirement. All employees that operate company vehicles must maintain their driving record as insurable under the company's vehicle insurance provider.
