About the Opportunity

An established commercial roofing contractor in Springfield is looking to add dependable, hardworking team members to its field crew.

This opportunity is open to candidates with approximately 2–5 years of roofing, construction, or general labor experience. Previous commercial roofing experience is preferred for the higher end of the pay range, but the company is also open to candidates who are newer to the industry and interested in building a long-term career in commercial roofing.

The ideal candidate does not need to be a highly seasoned roofer. The company is looking for someone who is reliable, coachable, hardworking, safety-minded, and willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist with commercial roof installations, repairs, tear-offs, and replacements
• Load, unload, stage, and organize roofing materials and equipment
• Prepare roof surfaces for installation
• Assist experienced roofers with commercial roofing systems
• Safely use roofing tools and equipment
• Follow jobsite safety requirements and company procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Take direction from foremen and field leadership
• Work effectively as part of a roofing crew
• Help complete projects safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards

Candidates with additional experience may also assist with crew coordination and basic field leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Approximately 2–5 years of roofing, construction, general labor, or related field experience
• Commercial roofing experience is preferred, but not required for the right candidate
• Experience with TPO, EPDM, PVC, Modified Bitumen, Built-Up Roofing, or other low-slope systems is a plus
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Dependable attendance and reliable work history
• Willingness to learn and take direction
• Comfortable working outdoors and performing physically demanding work
• Comfortable working at heights and on commercial rooftops
• Ability to work well as part of a team

Requirements

Candidates must:

• Have a valid driver's license
• Have an acceptable driving record
• Be able to pass a background check
• Be able to pass a drug screening
• Be physically capable of performing roofing and construction-related duties
• Be dependable and able to report to job sites as scheduled
