Senior Commercial Construction Estimator

A leading commercial construction company is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead estimating efforts for complex commercial construction projects. This individual will play a key role in preconstruction, working closely with ownership, clients, architects, subcontractors, vendors, and project management teams.

Responsibilities:

• Lead estimates from initial review through final bid submission.

• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and comprehensive cost analysis.

• Develop conceptual, schematic, and hard-bid estimates.

• Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and vendor pricing.

• Analyze scopes, plans, specifications, and contract requirements.

• Identify project risks, scope gaps, and opportunities for value engineering.

• Develop accurate project budgets and competitive bid proposals.

• Participate in preconstruction meetings and client presentations.

• Mentor and provide guidance to Estimators and Assistant Estimators.

• Coordinate project turnover with Project Management and Operations teams.

• Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, clients, and design professionals.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of commercial construction estimating experience preferred.

• Strong experience with complex commercial projects.

• Advanced knowledge of construction costs, materials, and means and methods.

• Strong plan-reading, quantity takeoff, and cost-analysis skills.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities.

• Experience with estimating and construction management software preferred.
