Job Summary
Rafter P Construction, a leading design-build general contractor in North Texas and Southern Oklahoma , is seeking an experienced and dedicated Restaurant Construction Superintendent to join our growing team in the Austin area. We specialize in commercial projects and are looking for an on-site leader to oversee restaurant build-outs, remodels, and ground-up construction. The ideal candidate lives and breathes quality control, enforces the highest safety standards, and has a proven track record of delivering fast-paced restaurant projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
· On-Site Management: Oversee daily field operations, coordinate subcontractors, and manage all on-site labor.
· Scheduling: Maintain and enforce the project schedule to ensure critical milestones are met.
· Quality Assurance (QA/QC): Ensure all work adheres to project specifications and maintain a clean, organized job site.
· Compliance: Enforce all OSHA and company safety protocols, conduct regular site safety inspections, and manage relevant documentation.
· Coordination: Read and interpret blueprints; manage Requests for Information (RFIs), change orders, and inspection logs.
· Client Relations: Serve as the primary on-site liaison with client representatives, architects, and local inspectors.
Qualifications
· Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent.
· Specialization: Specific experience in restaurant construction, including QSRs (fast-food), fast-casual dining, and tenant improvements are a bonus.
· Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management is a plus.
· Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading and understanding civil, architectural, and MEP drawing sets; working knowledge of Procore, Bluebeam, or similar project management software.
· Credentials: Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel locally to various job sites across the Austin metro area; OSHA 30 certification is preferred.
