A bit about us:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Commercial Construction Superintendent to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for overseeing all stages of project life cycle, from planning and design to construction and handover. This role is ideal for a construction professional who is experienced in managing subcontractors, developing and managing schedules, RFI submittals, OSHA safety standards, adherence to project specifications, and managing civil sitework. Proficiency in using PROCORE, viewpoint software, and experience in projects and renovations in hospitals, churches, retail, and education is highly desirable.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Overseeing all stages of project life cycle, managing civil sitework, and ensuring adherence to project specifications.
2. Utilizing construction management software such as PROCORE and Viewpoint to manage projects effectively.
3. Coordinating and supervising the activities of subcontractors, ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with the project plan.
4. Conducting regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
5. Managing project schedules, resources, and budget, and ensuring that project deliverables are met.
6. Liaising with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
7. Leading project meetings and providing regular updates on project status.
8. Identifying and resolving any potential issues or delays that could impact project completion.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar role in the commercial construction industry.
2. Proven experience in managing construction projects and renovations in hospitals, churches, retail, and education sectors.
3. Strong knowledge of construction management and subcontractor management practices.
4. Proficiency in construction estimating, scheduling, and project management.
5. Hands-on experience with construction management software such as PROCORE and Viewpoint.
6. Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
7. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
8. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
9. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is preferred.
10. Relevant certifications such as Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) would be an advantage.
