Commercial Construction Welder

HB Global, LLC is seeking a skilled Commercial Construction Welder to join our team, responsible for performing various welding tasks on commercial construction projects according to specifications and safety standards.Responsibilities:* Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding procedure specifications (WPS).* Specifically for this position, the ability to weld steel pipe, schedule 40* Fabricate and assemble structural metal products, such as framework or shells for machinery, tanks, and other commercial structures.* Cut, grind, and prepare metal surfaces for welding.* Operate and maintain welding equipment, including welders, torches, grinders, and other power tools.* Inspect welds for quality and adherence to specifications, performing repairs as needed.* Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).* Collaborate with other tradespeople and project managers to ensure efficient project completion.* Maintain a clean and organized work area.* Troubleshoot welding issues and perform minor equipment maintenance.Qualifications:* High school diploma or equivalent.* Completion of a recognized welding program or apprenticeship.* Proven experience as a Commercial Construction Welder, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.* 6G certified or the ability to obtain 6G certification* Proficient in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, Stick, and FCAW.* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols accurately.* Strong understanding of welding safety procedures and best practices.* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced construction environment.* Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.* Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.* Reliable transportation to various job sites.
