Commercial Contracts Associate Attorney

A well-established law firm in the Kansas City area is seeking a Commercial Contracts Associate Attorney with 2+ years of experience to join its growing transactional practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and advising clients on a wide range of commercial agreements while working alongside a collaborative team of experienced attorneys.

What You'll Do:

• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts and business agreements.
• Advise clients on contract interpretation, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare and negotiate vendor, service, licensing, confidentiality, employment, and other commercial agreements.
• Support business transactions through contract due diligence and document review.
• Work directly with clients to provide practical legal guidance tailored to their business objectives.
• Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice areas on complex transactional matters.

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Missouri license (Kansas license or ability to obtain is a plus).
• 2+ years of experience in contract law, commercial transactions, or a related transactional practice.
• Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects while delivering high-quality client service.
