LHH is seeking an experienced Commercial Contracts Counsel for a contract opportunity with a valued corporate client in the Tampa area. This role is ideal for an attorney who enjoys partnering with business stakeholders, negotiating complex commercial agreements, and providing practical legal guidance in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will have strong experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts while balancing legal risk with business objectives.
Responsibilities
Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a variety of commercial agreements, including:
Master Service Agreements (MSAs)
Vendor and supplier agreements
Professional services agreements
SaaS and technology agreements
Non-disclosure agreements (NDAs)
Statements of Work (SOWs)
Procurement and licensing agreements
Partner with business teams to identify legal and commercial risks and develop practical solutions.
Advise internal stakeholders on contractual obligations, compliance considerations, and risk mitigation strategies.
Support contract lifecycle management from intake through execution.
Collaborate with procurement, finance, compliance, and business leadership teams.
Assist with legal projects and other corporate matters as needed.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
5+ years of experience reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, preferably in-house or supporting corporate clients.
Strong knowledge of commercial contracting principles and risk management.
Experience negotiating technology, SaaS, procurement, or vendor agreements is highly preferred.
Excellent communication, drafting, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
