A growing and highly entrepreneurial community bank is seeking a Commercial Credit Analyst to support continued expansion of its commercial banking platform. This is an opportunity to work directly alongside experienced lenders and credit professionals in a collaborative, relationship-focused environment where your contributions will have immediate visibility and impact.

The bank has built a strong reputation within the commercial real estate market and is actively expanding its lending footprint across investor-owned real estate, owner-occupied commercial properties, and middle-market business relationships.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new commercial lending opportunities with a focus on commercial real estate transactions.
• Analyze borrower financial statements, tax returns, rent rolls, operating statements, and cash flow projections.
• Evaluate key credit metrics including DSCR, LTV, leverage, liquidity, and guarantor strength.
• Assist in preparing credit memoranda and loan presentations for approval committees.
• Perform portfolio monitoring, annual reviews, covenant tracking, and risk rating updates.
• Partner closely with relationship managers throughout the underwriting and approval process.
• Conduct market and industry research to support credit recommendations.
• Assist with loan renewals, modifications, and portfolio management activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Real Estate, or a related field.
• 1-4 years of commercial credit analysis, underwriting, portfolio management, or commercial banking experience.
• Exposure to commercial real estate lending preferred.
• Strong financial statement analysis and cash flow modeling capabilities.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong written communication abilities.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and desire to build a long-term career in commercial banking.
