Description

Position Summary: The Commercial Credit Analyst is responsible for analysis of financial information and legal entity documentation for the origination and renewal of small business loans processed through the bank’s small business credit scoring model, while presenting conclusions documented via high level loan credit memoranda. The Commercial Credit Analyst is a positive, motivated team player who works both individually and as part of a high performing team to assist in achieving the Commercial Lending Department’s objectives; on-time loan delivery, loan monitoring, and servicing internal and external customers with a high level of accuracy and service. Key Responsibilities:
  • Run and Analyze Personal Credit Reports
  • Spread Tax Returns and Business Financial Statements
  • Analyze Personal Financial Statements
  • Collection and control of financial information and legal/entity documentation to complete loan packages for the origination, handling communication with internal business partners and third parties
  • Review and understand borrower credit, including credit report, personal and business financial statements, personal and business tax returns, and schedule of real estate owned
  • Assist in monitoring key performance indicators for portfolio loans through annual loan reviews
  • Process commercial credit card applications
  • Work closely with retail branches and private bankers to establish banking relationships with new business clients as well as develop growth within existing client relationships.
  • Understand and adhere to Bank credit policy, current bank underwriting guidelines, and current credit appetite
  • Participate as a proactive member of the credit administration team, from the start of a loan through to closing
  • Special projects as requested from management
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Some college level work in Business/Finance/Accounting
  • Minimum of two years previous banking experience in administrative/analytical support
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presenting at meetings
  • Preferred to have understanding of Global Cash Flow and Business Cash Flow
  • Preferred to have experience with business financial statements and spreading software
  • Ability to deliver excellent service to teammates, sales staff, and customers
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while delivering accurate and quality work product

The hiring salary range is based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and internal equity. Compensation decisions are made in consideration of these factors and in alignment with Fremont Bank’s compensation philosophy.
